The exemption is not automatic and physical damage must meet a minimum degree of 15% to qualify
If you think you may qualify for the temporary disaster exemption please submit an application and provide the following information with your application:


  • Estimates to cure the damages
    • Examples:
      • Contractor estimates
      • Plumbing estimates
  • Insurance adjustor estimates
  • Pictures of the damages
  • If the repairs have already been completed:
    • Copies of repair cost paid
Providing this information with your application will help MCAD process the applications timely.
MCAD will send a written notice of approval, modification, or denial of the application to the applicant.
